ATDI’s 20 year existence in the field of radio frequency / telecommunications engineering and software development has led to a deep understanding of wireless interference and its appropriate simulation and evaluation in computer software. A prime example of this is IRF Calc, a module that takes as inputs the PSD and RF for a system and computes the resultant NFD curve. Both the inputs and the output NFD can be saved for later use and imported directly into ATDI’s HTZ Warfare and ICS Telecom RF simulation suites for detailed network analysis..
ATDI’s RF planning software allows a user to perform a navigational aid obstruction analysis quickly and efficiently. With precise cartography as the foundation for any RF study, the user can select an area and place a navigational aid and individual obstructions within minutes.
Much like other radio frequency systems, navigational aids are also subject to interference that may negatively impact the system, causing errors and potentially disabling the system entirely. For air navigation, where precision is important, it is vital to minimize the chances of error or system outage. For that reason, mandates such as the Federal Aviation Authority’s Order 6820.10 exist.
A wind farm is a group of wind turbines located in close proximity to each other to produce electric power. Due to their large size and both static parts (tower) and moving parts (blades and nacelle), they create interference and cause performance degradation for RF communications systems in the form of shadowing, scattering, and resolution cell power saturation. Using the appropriate propagation models, these performance degrading effects can be analyzed using ICS Telecom and HTZ Warfare. One can import, configure, and analyze the effects of a wind turbine in a digital terrain modeling workspace.
The Maritime Networks are modelled using the RF network modelling software, HTZ warfare operating in the range of 10kHz to 400GHz to model Groundwave propagation and Skywave propagation for coverage and traffic analysis as per the ITU Recommendations.
ATDI's software tools focuses on newly developed features for generating probability of coverage per season, noise environment and frequency for HF Skywave propagation as well as modeling HF antennas and ultimately VHF coverage and traffic analysis for Maritime Communications.
ATDI uses ICS Telecom software tool to feature its exhaustive functionalities in order to display and analyze the coverage result for Digital Broadcast. It focuses on macro-scale DVB-H planning and its analysis on the geo-marketing point of view, and also provides methodologies for deep-indoor network densification, at the address level.
Co-site Interference starts with the Intermodulation analysis. IMP Calc and specific function in ICS Telecom and HTZ warfare calculates IM frequencies up to the 9th order and verifies the receiver frecuencies against potential interferers. Each element Each element in the list may be specified with a name, channel spacing, protection bandwidth and frequency offsets as well as having planned or commissioned status.
