1 - Introduction to Modelling Public Safety Radio Applications with HTZ warfare - Land Mobile Radio

ATDI has developed dedicated features for modeling Land Mobile Radio applications adhering to TSB-88 specifications These features include but are not limited to:

  • Importing US Federal Assignments from the Government Master File (GMF) onto a three-dimensional cartographic workspace.
  • Utilizing government source digital terrain models for propagation analysis.
  • Offering the user the options of using a variety of propagation models including but not limited to the P2P implementation of the Irregular Terrain Model (aka Longley Rice) or the COST-231 or Okumura Hata
  • Utilizing the TSB-88 compression and interpretation of the clutter derived from the USGS National Land Cover Database
  • Generating talk out and talk back coverage plots
  • Designation of Frequency Dependent Rejection curves for spectral analysis of Digital/Analog Wideband/Narrowband systems specific to the equipment manufacturer's specifications or from NTIA Redbook/FCC default specifications.
  • Frequency Plan Validation - streamlined report comparing a proposed channel plan for an LMR station(s) against the existing Federal assignments to identify frequency conflicts with other agencies.
